Irvine's well-recieved novel, Crime, comes out in mass market paperback this June. The publication co-incides with a new collection of short stories, Reheated Cabbage.

Irvine and Mark Cousins (one of his partners in Four Ways films) have directed a ten minute film which comprises one of ten short films around human rights. The film was been scored by acclaimed composer Clint Mansell. It screens for the first time at the Edinburgh Film Festival, on Friday, 20th August.

Good Arrows is a film directed by Irvine and Helen Grace. It tells the tale of darts champion Andy 'The Arrows' Samson, played by Welsh's friend and long-term collaborator, Jon Owen. It also features Dublin actor Joe McKinney as documentary filmmaker Sebastian Weatherstone, acclaimed comedian Katy Brand, and the Brian Hibberd as Alwyn, Andy's mentor.It was written with screenwriting partner Dean Cavanagh.
